Bankstown RSL welcomes applications for financial assistance through its 2026/2027 ClubGRANTS Category 2 round.

This round supports projects, events and activities that benefit the local community, including general community development, junior and grassroots sport, recreation, veterans’ welfare and initiatives that encourage community participation and connection.

Applicants should clearly outline the purpose of their request, the amount of funding sought, how the funds will be used and the benefits the activity will deliver to the community.

All applications will be assessed on their eligibility, community benefit and the availability of funding. Assistance is subject to approval by Bankstown RSL.

Provides funding for general community development and support activities, such as junior sport.

Category 2 funding is typically used to support a club’s core purpose.

We encourage groups who are looking for assistance with their fund-raising project to apply. Your group may include a school, service club or a local charity. The club is keen to support ethnically, socially and culturally diverse groups within the community.  

ClubGRANTS is designed to ensure that larger registered clubs in NSW contribute to the provision of frontline services to their local communities.  

Eligible Category 2 expenditure is that expenditure allocated to community development, support activities and projects not listed under Category 1 and sport related endeavours.

Club Liverpool (John Edmondson V.C. Memorial Club) has been supporting the local community through Club Grants for over 79 years.

Category 2 funding is for general community development and supporting various community activities. 

Such examples of this are assistance to local schools and LCC Intraclubs.

Please note: No individual sponsorship will be considered for charities or sporting requests.

ClubGRANTS Category 2 Funding Application is for monetary funding only.

It is for general community development and support activities, such as junior sport/grassroots sport, veteran welfare activities and to deliver positive social outcomes that improve the living standards of low income and disadvantaged local residents. 

Applications are encouraged from not-for-profit organisations, community groups and registered charities whose projects address identified community needs and demonstrate measurable benefits to the community.

Applications must be submitted at least 8 to 10 weeks before the required funding date to allow sufficient time for review and consideration by the Board of Directors.  Applications submitted outside this timeframe may not be considered.

Ingleburn Bowling Club is excited to support local community-development projects through our Category 2 Funding.

To qualify your project must demonstrate that it is supporting local community development and support activities that are not listed under Category 1.  Category 2 can include such things as junior sport/grassroots sport or veteran welfare activities.

All ClubGRANT applications will be assessed by the Board of Directors for consideration in due course. Once your application has been assessed the Club will contact you via the ClubGRANTS online system to advise you of the outcome.

Please note that, under the ClubGRANTS Guidelines, the proposed project cannot commence or have a commence date prior to the project being considered for approval by the Board.

Applications should be submitted well in advance of your project commencement date.

Should your organisation have an outstanding acquittal for a project from a previous ClubGRANTS Round as approved by the Club, your new application may not be considered for funding.

(Please note that this round will close once all allocated funding is exhausted)

Sporting & Community Groups looking for cash funding can apply here. Please ensure you have your ABN, Bank and Contact details to complete the application and be aware you will need to confirm the application of funds via an aquittal. 

As we are not one of the large clubs our funding is limited and it highly unlikely we would be able to support any application over $2,000 without previously discussing such a proposal and regardless of that grants will be significantly influenced by the locality of the spending, the number of people it will benefit and how the grant aligns with the clubs local objectives.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CATEGORY 2 CASH FUNDING

NOTE: This grant round applies to Club Parramatta Category 2 cash support ONLY (not in kind support) for the period 1 September 2026 - 31 August 2027.

1. Projects must be community-focused, with measurable deliverables to residents of the local council areas where we operate, City of Parramatta.
2. Projects must address at least one of our CSR values and philosophies - refer to our website for more information: https://www.chrg.com.au/clubgrants/ and;
3. Address CHRG's identified local Category 2 community priorities:
   - Local grassroots sports
   - Local fundraising initiatives
   - Local cultural and arts-based projects
   - General Education & Community Support

OVERVIEW OF THE PROCESS

1. Applications must be completed a minimum of 6-weeks prior to your project start date to allow for approvals CHRG Board of Directors.
2. All applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors on a monthly basis (at the end of the month).  Please allow for at least 2 weeks after this time to receive notification of a final decision.
