Each year through ClubGRANTS, East Maitland Bowling Club provides support to hundreds of local community organisations, sporting groups, and charities that make a difference within our community.

Category 1: Supports community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.

Are you a local Port Stephens group looking for funding? Please fill in an application for consideration by your local Club Grants Committee.

The Cessnock LGA ClubGRANTS 2024 Category 1 provides funding for local social services and community projects, with the aim of addressing social need and disadvantage.  

Eligible projects and services include, community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities. 

Funding priorities for 2024 are for projects and services in the Cessnock Local Government Area that seek to address areas of high local need in particular;

• Homelessness
• Domestic violence
• Mental health and well-being
• Youth development and education

Hawkesbury ClubGRANTS supports community organisations and groups proposing to carry out projects that provide support to people in the Hawkesbury Local Government Area (LGA).

Support will be given to services and projects in the following areas:

• community welfare and social services;
• projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people;
• community development;
• employment assistance activities;
• community health services;
• programs that build on a sense of community and wellbeing; and
• Initiatives that support vulnerable members of the community (e.g. at-risk children and young people, those impacted by domestic violence and/or sexual violence, experiencing homelessness, seniors, people with a disability)

Services should address current community needs and service gaps. Services should be client-centred, outcomes-based, provides value for money, is evidence-informed, and can be integrated into the service system.

You are also eligible if you or your organisation are involved in community or professional sport.

The Committee has a set range of funding amounts - $500 to a maximum of $10,000 per project application.

Applications will only be accepted from organisations within the Hawkesbury LGA proposing to carry projects that provide support to people in the Hawkesbury LGA.

Please note that additional information may be requested after receiving applications.  

Hornsby Shire - Category 1 2024 Club Grants is inclusive of four participating clubs:

• Hornsby RSL
• Magpies Waitara
• The Galston Club 
• West Pennant Hills Sports Club

The Sydney CBD ClubGRANTS committee encompasses the  following venues:

• Bowlers Club of NSW (Club York)
• City Tattersalls Group (inc The Castlereagh and The Barracks)
• City of Sydney RSL (Club Sydney)

Eligibility

• Local, eligible not-for-profit organisations and community groups are encouraged to apply and can submit up to two applications
• Projects must benefit the residents of Sydney CBD
• Projects must meet the ClubGRANTS Category 1 expenditure criteria

The ClubGRANTS Guildlines set out the full eligibility criteria. All applications must be made via ClubGRANTS online.

All previous recipients must fully expend their funds before the next grant round opens.

This is the main Category 1 grant round for the 2023/4 ClubGRANTS cycle.

Broadly, Category 1 grants are intended to promote community welfare through the provision of community services and community development activities, and through community health and employment assistance projects.

Pittwater RSL Club works with other local clubs and with Northern Beaches Council to ensure grants meet priority needs identified by the Council and have a direct impact on residents of the local area.

Supports community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.
