All applications submitted MUST comply with the ClubGRANTS guidelines, Gaming Machine Act 2001. and ensure your project meets the Category 2 expenditure rules as outlined in these ClubGRANTS Guidelines ( Liquor & Gaming NSW - https://www.liquorandgaming.nsw.gov.au ).

CATEGORY 2

For projects mainly focused on:

Sport | Community Participation | Local Initiatives | Veterans | Community Development

Examples include:

• Junior and community sport
• Local clubs and community groups
• Community events and activities
• Veteran programs and activities
• Projects that encourage participation and inclusion

This grant is focused on supporting general community development, support activities, junior sports and veteran welfare activities.

Sawtell RSL Club welcomes submissions from local community groups for Category 2 projects.

Maclean Bowling Club Cat 2 2026/27

Please contact the Club before completing this application.

Provides funding for general community development and support activities, such as sport and any other projects not listed under Category 1.

Generally our funding limit for applications do not exceed $2000.

C.ex Group welcomes submissions from local community groups for Category 2 projects.

Category 2 funding is focused on core club activities (such as an RSL supporting veteran' welfare) and traditional areas of club expenditure, such as support for sport and recreation groups.  It also covers tourism promotion as well as not-for-profit cultural activities and not-for-profit visual/performing arts

This grant round is administered by Ballina RSL and supports eligible Category 2 community projects and activities.

Category 2 funding may support initiatives such as:

• Junior and grassroots sport
• Veteran welfare activities
• Community participation and inclusion
• Local community programs and events
• Other eligible community development initiatives

For the 2026–27 ClubGRANTS year, Ballina RSL will offer two Category 2 Cash funding rounds:

• Round 1: 1 September 2026 to 31 January 2027
• Round 2: 1 February 2027 to 31 May 2027

This application is for Round 1.

Applications will be assessed following the close of the grant round. Funding is subject to eligibility, available ClubGRANTS funding and Ballina RSL approval.

This grant round belongs to the Mullumbimby Ex Services Club and is focused on funding local community development and support activities, such as junior sports/grassroots sport or veteran welfare activities.

Applications are reviewed regularly with in kind support approved after grant approval. 

Grant applications must benefit the local Byron Shire Community. 

2027 Club Lennox Sports Category 2 ClubGRANTS funding round supporting eligible community organisations, sporting clubs and not for profit groups delivering projects, programs and activities that benefit the Lennox Head and wider Ballina community.

Funding may support community development, participation, recreation, sport and other eligible Category 2 activities. Applications will be assessed in accordance with ClubGRANTS Category 2 eligibility requirements and the community benefit demonstrated by the proposed project.
