ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CATEGORY 2 FUNDING

NOTE: This grant round applies to Wagga RSL Club, for IN-KIND SUPPORT ONLY (not cash grants)

1. Projects must be community focused with measurable deliverables to residents of the local council area.

2. Projects must address the Wagga RSL Club values and philosophies.

In-Kind Support can include

1. Complimentary or discounted room hire for projects/events/functions

2. Catering can be considered in kind for events and functions

3. Club vouchers 

OVERVIEW OF PROCESS

1. All applicants are reviewed by our General Manager and/or Board of Directors on a monthly basis.  Please allow for at least 6 weeks after submitting to receive notification of a final decision.

2. Applications must be submitted a minimum of 6 weeks prior to your project/event start date.

Category 2 ClubGRANTS Applications applied for directly to the SS&A Club

Category 2 In-Kind grants provide eligible community organisations with non-cash support for projects, programs or activities that contribute to the development, wellbeing and vitality of Deniliquin and the surrounding district. Support may include venue hire, catering, equipment, facilities or other goods and services provided by Deniliquin RSL, subject to availability and approval.

Eligible initiatives may include community, sporting, recreational, cultural, educational, charitable and veteran welfare activities.

Applicants should clearly describe the support requested, the proposed date and purpose, who will benefit, the estimated number of participants and the anticipated community outcomes. Applications must meet the current ClubGRANTS eligibility requirements and Deniliquin RSL’s funding priorities.

Applications for ClubGRANTS Category 2 IN KIND funding from the Club Corowa are open from September until August each year for general community support, which includes sporting, cultural and recreation projects and services not eligible for Category 1 funding.  All funding is processed locally by Club Corowa and community groups can contact the clubs at any time for information and advice.

Club Corowa has a sponsorship committee which meets to review grant applications.  This committee has an annual budget and is responsible for allocating grants to local community and charitable organisations based on set criteria.

To be eligible to apply, you should be a not-for-profit organisation and provide the following project and/or services:

• community welfare or social services
• community development
• community health services
• employment assistance activities
• community or professional sport or recreation
• Cultural activities

This application is for Category 2 In Kind Non Monetary support which is to assist the general community and support activities. 

Examples of those who should apply are local schools, Thurgoona Intra-clubs and non-profit organisations.

This support is for Thurgoona Country Club Events room hire and vouchers requests.

Any room hire or events assistance must have a quote from the Thurgoona Country Club team prior to the application being lodged.

For donations of meal vouchers, room hire and other non cash items

Organisations are eligible for category 2 funding for projects and or services that are aimed at providing funding for general community development and supporting various community activities.

Category 2 is to assist general community development and support activities, such as junior sport and ideally should produce a return on the investment to the Club.  Our expenditure should be targeted at changing behaviors in the community, changing an image and customer awareness (branding) and loyalty.

We are inundated with requests for Category 2 funding and we need to have strategies to process these.  For each Category 2 request for funding, they are first evaluated to check for the benefits to our Club.  We need to ensure we are getting a return (e.g. signage, recognition in newsletters, hosting their events in our Club etc).  We can allocated 1.1% of our regulated contributions towards this category.  We can allocate less (i.e. more to Category 1) but the total must be 1.85% or more.
